World Beat Groove percussionist Richie Guerrero's first solo instrumental album overflowing with Djembes, Congas, Bongos, Timbales and a multitude of live hand percussion! Every song has a percussion solo or two (what a surprise) and is accompanied by horn, flute, guitar and keyboard melodies influenced by Afrobeat, Latin Jazz, Salsa, Rumba, Funk and more. The goal of this album was to take folkloric and traditional rhythms, mix instruments and melodies from different African and Afro-Caribbean cultures and create something a little different.

Special thanks to guest musicians, Matt Bermudez (Bass & Synthesizer on Passing Storm) and Joe Connors (Bongos and Cowbell on Para Mongo) who recorded remotely.

I hope you enjoy the drumming and music and I can’t wait to see everyone when this pandemic is over. Also, the first World Beat Groove album will hopefully be released in 2021 featuring Anthony, Mark, Joedy and Richie!
